Meet Jai

Jai Chapple graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Science and a minor in African & African Diaspora Studies. She has been working in the tech space for 8+ years and is currently a Sr. Data Analyst.

Prior to this role, she spent time as a Business Analyst for a startup where she successfully coordinated the onboarding for enterprise and SMB customers and merchants. Jai was also a Quality Analyst at Indeed.com for 3+ years. At Indeed, she was instrumental in advocating for underrepresented groups and sparking conversations around intersectionality as the Community Engagement Lead for Indeed’s Black Inclusion Group. This advocacy afforded her the opportunity to host and speak on panels as well as travel to various events to assist with Indeed’s diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Outside of the professional setting, Jai is the co-creator and chair for UT's Black Homecoming annual networking event. During past events, she has leveraged her relationships with tech companies in Austin to provide laptops for Black students in need at UT.

As of Fall 2020, Jai is pursuing a Masters's degree in Management in Information Systems at Lamar University.

In her spare time, Jai assists others transitioning into tech through her company TechFinesser and helping entrepreneurs find valuable insight in their data.
